President’s Message

Welcome to Memorial Healthcare

Brian L. Long

President & CEO, Memorial Health System

In late 2023, we introduced Memorial Health System—a forward-thinking governance structure designed to position Memorial Healthcare for long-term success. This model allows us to explore innovative ways to provide services and care for our communities beyond traditional hospital operations, ensuring we remain steadfast in our commitment to being an independent hospital. From the start, the Memorial Health System Board has focused on growth, stewardship, and maintaining our legacy of exceptional care.

Key Milestones from 2024:

  • Expansion of the 200 Health Park Building: Now home to eight providers dedicated to delivering high-quality care to our community.
  • Support for County Medical Care Expansion: Successfully facilitated a property transfer, paving the way for the planned growth of the county medical care facility.
  • Revitalization of the Former Rite-Aid Building in Owosso: Transformed into a vibrant, multi-service facility offering a pharmacy, expanded urgent care, lab, and x-ray services.

These accomplishments reflect our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence, guided by the trust and support of the communities we proudly serve.

Your loyalty and partnership over the past century have been the foundation of our success. Because of you, Memorial Healthcare has flourished as a vital part of mid-Michigan, and your commitment continues to inspire us to reach even greater heights.

On behalf of Memorial Health System, thank you for the privilege of serving you and your loved ones. Together, we will build a healthier, brighter future for our region—founded on compassion, driven by innovation, and defined by excellence.
