What is Sleep Medicine?
Sleep medicine is a medical subspeciality focused on diagnosing and treating sleep disorders and other sleep-related concerns. Sleep disorders are common and, if left untreated, can have significant long-term consequences, such as increased risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.
About our Team
Gregory Streff, DO, FCCP, FACOI, is a consulting physician on Memorial’s active medical staff and oversees all activities at the Memorial Healthcare Sleep Center. Dr. Streff is a graduate of the University of Osteopathic in Des Moines, IA, and completed internships in internal medicine at Oakland General Hospital and sleep disorders at Ingham Medical Center. Dr. Streff is board certified in internal medicine, sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. In addition, he holds fellowships from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American College of Osteopathic Internists, and the American College of Chest Physicians.
