Dr. T always asks me what I want to do after he gives me treatment options. He has never said This is what we're going to do he always says Here's our options, here's the pros and cons of each, what do you want to do.
Dr. T has poor communication. Clearly doesn't read my chart. And lacks empathy and basic skills. I should not be telling him more about my medications than he is telling me. Under no circumstance should it be ok for a primary care provider to be unprofessional by asking questions in a condescending manner such as "how many kids is this for you now? You had several last time I saw you." Especially when I had suffered a full term stillbirth and had went on to have a pregnancy after loss (I was sitting in his office with my child) all since last seeing him. That pregnancy after loss was charted through memorial as I received a portion of my obstetric care through the same hospital affiliate. Also meaning my stillbirth was charted as well. Upon me informing him of my total amount of children, as I was wildly uncomfortable, he had a very dull response of "oh sorryso are you even allowed to take this migraine medicine while breastfeeding." Immediately changing topics and essentially Ignoring a major medical and life event with zero care. I'm sorrywhat? This all is all unacceptable. Then for him to go on and talk about my older children that he thinks he remembers. Just inappropriate! For some time I have avoided going in to see him due to him asking me what medications I think would work, what interactions my medications have, or if they are ok to use while breastfeeding. All of which he should be informing me about. After this encounter I will be going as little as is necessary and getting majority of my care through urgent care.
