Dr. Leahy is a leader in developing this multidisciplinary approach to Alzheimer’s disease. She, along with her team of clinical pharmacists, nurses, and home health professionals, meet with each patient and their families during this memory clinic appointment. The goal is to provide care and treatment that extends beyond medicines and to improve the quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. I was very disappointed in our interaction with Dr Leahy. She didn't ask my mom any questions or us girls about what we had been seeing to bring us there. When I brought out a book on treating Alzheimer's she said it wasn't sound and didnt seem to like being questioned on treatment.
