Thursday, September 24 (2026) — Owosso, Michigan – Memorial Healthcare is pleased to welcome Dr. Gavin Ambrosi to its active medical staff and the Owosso community.
Dr. Ambrosi is a board-certified general surgeon with more than six years of surgical experience. He brings a strong foundation of clinical knowledge, advanced technical expertise, and a patient-centered approach focused on delivering high-quality care and achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient.
A Michigan native, Dr. Ambrosi earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University before completing his general surgery residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. Prior to returning to his home state, Dr. Ambrosi served as Trauma Medical Director at Marshfield Medical Center in Minocqua, Wisconsin, where he gained valuable experience caring for patients with complex and urgent surgical needs.
Dr. Ambrosi provides a broad range of general surgical services, including robotic surgery, colorectal surgery, hernia repair, anti-reflux procedures, breast surgery, skin cancer surgery, dialysis access and arteriovenous fistula (AVF) procedures, EGD and colonoscopy, and more.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ambrosi has been actively involved in medical research. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has served as a reviewer for several medical journals. His commitment to research and continued advancement in the field reflects his dedication to providing patients with high-quality, evidence-based surgical care.
Dr. Ambrosi is proud to return to Michigan and looks forward to providing experienced, compassionate surgical care to patients throughout the community.
