Monday, September 16, 2024 (2024) – Owosso, MI – Memorial Healthcare, along with Pat’s Place, are excited to announce a 1-mile walk, roll, run to support the Alzheimer’s Association. This inspiring community event will take place on Saturday, October 12th, at the Memorial Healthcare NOW Building – Wellness Center, where participants of all ages and abilities will gather to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and contribute to the fight for a world without Alzheimer’s.
Pat’s Place, an Adult Day Social Center, is a non-profit organization based in Corunna that is committed to providing support and resources to families affected by Alzheimer’s. It has partnered with Memorial Healthcare to bring this event to Shiawassee County.

Speakers: Dr. Cara Leahy, Director of Cognitive Disorders, Memorial Healthcare Institute for Neuroscience; Stacey Zsigo, Board Chair, Pat’s Place; and a personal story from a family affected by Alzheimer’s.
Location: Memorial Healthcare NOW Building – Wellness Center, 819 N. Shiawassee Street, Owosso, MI 48867. In the event of inclement weather, the walk will be held in the Wellness Center on the indoor track.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s isn’t just a walk; it’s an opportunity for the community to come together and show support for the millions of people affected by the disease. Participants will walk in honor of those they know and love who are battling Alzheimer’s and in memory of those lost to the disease along the way.
The funds raised through this walk will help support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to advance research, provide care and support for all those affected, and promote brain health.
