Please join us congratulating Janet Pritchett, a Registered Nurse in our Same Day Surgery Department, who has been selected as our November Employee of the Month! Janet has been employed with Memorial Healthcare since October 1993.
According to her nomination, “Janet is an engaged voice at meetings discussing how to best support our patients with healthcare navigation. She took the lead on the implementation of these process changes when they came about. Janet reorganized the office to make sure the flow of paperwork made sense and troubleshooted issues as they occurred to make the changes as smooth as possible for the team’s workflow. She provided open communication about the challenges the team was experiencing. In addition, Janet recognized an opportunity to have anesthesia review charts earlier in the pre-assessment process to reduce patient cancellations and schedule needed clearances with specialties closer to the time of procedure onboarding. With her support, we were able to move the anesthesia review of patient charts closer to the time of boarding rather than two days before the procedure. Change is difficult, but Janet embraced this opportunity to improve patient care at Memorial. She pushed the limits of what we consider to be good care and helped us transform it into excellent care.”
