Please join us congratulating Chelsea Mishler, Patient Advocate/1557 Coordinator in our Service Excellence department as our June Employee of the Month! Chelsea has been employed with Memorial Healthcare since December of 2023.
According to her nomination “Chelsea took a phone call from a distraught patient seen in one of Memorial Healthcare’s clinics. During this conversation, the patient admitted to feelings of wanting to hurt themselves. Chelsea was quick to understand the serious nature of the situation and handled things with professionalism and grace, keeping the patient on the phone and notifying our Public Safety department. Our Public Safety Department were able to quickly determine that the patient was still on campus and met the patient to ensure their safety. Chelsea displayed empathy, compassion, and concern for this patient’s wellbeing, keeping them on the phone for the better part of an hour while other staff members made sure they were safe. In a department that is often overcharged with emotion, Chelsea is a calming force. This is just one situation where Chelsea has exemplified Memorial Healthcare’s mission of providing high quality care to all our patients, all the time.”
