Memorial Healthcare Expands Services with New Bay City Location and Welcomes Board-Certified Physician Assistant Amanda Methner to Orthopedic Team

Thursday, July 24, 2025 — Owosso, Michigan — Memorial Healthcare is pleased to announce the opening of the Memorial Healthcare Center for Orthopedics – Bay City, located at 2117 16th Street in Bay City, the former practice of orthopedic surgeon Dr. Behan. This expansion brings Memorial Healthcare’s expert-level orthopedic care closer to home for residents of the Bay region.

Joining the new practice and Memorial Healthcare’s active medical staff is Amanda Methner, PA-C, a board-certified Physician Assistant, who will be practicing full-time in Bay City. 

Amanda brings extensive experience in orthopedics, having worked in outpatient clinics,  hospital-based patient care settings, and as a surgical first assistant. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan University. Most recently, she provided comprehensive orthopedic care at Branislav Behan Orthopedics.

Amanda will be joined by Dr. Ramy Kurdi, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, and Derrick Jauss, PA-C, who will provide care across both Bay City and Owosso locations. Together, this expert team will offer a full range of orthopedic services, from diagnostics and treatment to advanced surgical care.

This new location is part of Memorial Healthcare’s continued investment in expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care throughout mid-Michigan.

The team is now accepting new patients with most insurances.
