Memorial Healthcare to Expand Access to Care with New Flushing Facility

Memorial Healthcare, an independent, non-profit health system headquartered in Shiawassee County, is expanding its footprint into its seventh county—Genesee—by bringing its patient-centered care and services to Flushing.

The new facility, located at 218 W. Main Street, will transform a long-vacant Rite Aid building into a modern healthcare destination offering convenient, high-quality healthcare services to the community, including family medicine, urgent care, pharmacy, rotating specialty services (orthopedics and general surgery), and laboratory and radiology services

The Flushing expansion builds on the success of Memorial’s 2024 opening of a former Rite Aid facility in Owosso, which has become a valued resource for urgent care, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and pharmacy services.

“This expansion reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality care in the communities we serve,” said Brian Long, CEO of Memorial Health System. “We are excited to be a part of the Flushing community and look forward to building strong relationships here. By offering these services in Flushing, residents can access the care they need closer to home, supporting overall health and well-being.”

Renovations are already underway, with services expected to open in late December 2025/early January 2026. The facility will feature state-of-the-art equipment, highly trained providers, and a patient-centered environment designed for convenience and comfort.
